Installation Advice: PVC Hygienic Ceiling Planks

PVC ceiling planks are quick and straightforward to install, making them ideal for both new builds and refurbishments. Begin by ensuring the ceiling is flat, dry, and level, with timber battens or a suitable framework installed if needed. Perimeter edge trims should be fixed around the room first to provide a clean border and support for the planks.

The first plank is fitted into the edge trim and secured by fixing through the tongue using drywall screws or staples into the battens. Each additional plank then slots into the previous one using the tongue-and-groove system, creating a tight, flush-fit finish while concealing the fixings. This process is repeated across the ceiling for a smooth, hygienic surface.

For wider ceiling areas, H section join trims can be used to connect runs of planks, allowing for expansion and maintaining a neat, professional appearance. The final plank can be cut to size and fitted into the edge trim to complete the installation.
